The powRgrip® system uses a mechanical clamping system to achieve high clamping force, unbeatable run-out of less than 3 microns (0.00012 in.), and the ability to use different size tools in the same holder. This holder system consists of a toolholder, high precision collet, and a compact machine to insert the collet and tool into the holder. The specially designed collets are inserted with over 9 tons of force, creating gripping forces higher than those of shrink fit holders, but without the small tool size limitations and the dangers of using high temperature shrink systems. Tool changes with the powRgrip system take just seconds, instead of minutes saving operator time and overhead cost. Plus, there’s a five (5) year / 20,000 cycle warranty on the collets not to lose TIR or clamping force.
The powRgrip system provides high vibration dampening by optimizing rigidity and strengthening the interfacing surfaces between toolholder-collet and collet-tool. All of which makes for the highest transferable torque and superior T.I.R., even after 20,000 tool changes.

REGO-FIX ER and powRgrip collets
The REGO-FIX standard ER collet is the most widely used clamping system in the world. Originally created and patented in 1973 by REGO-FIX, it is ideal for a variety of machining applications including boring, milling, reaming, tapping and grinding.
Available collet sizes start at ER 8 and run through ER 50. This broad selection of ER collets can accurately clamp tool shanks ranging from 0.2mm (.0079 in.) up to 34mm (1.3386 in.) at the largest. Look for the on the top of your collet and be assured that you have a quality, Swiss Precision REGO-FIX product.
REGO-FIX ER collets are also available as metallic sealed for coolant-through applications. Available in ER 16 through ER 40 in metric and inch sizes, these collets allow users to use their coolant-through spindles without the use of sealing disk or rubber filled collets.
For the powRgrip system, REGO-FIX offers PG Standard and PG-CF (coolant flush) collets. PG Standard collets are metallically sealed for coolant-through tools, while PG-CF collets deliver peripheral cooling flush along the shank of the cutting tool when working with tools without internal cooling channels.

REGO-FIX CAPTO/powRgrip(PG) Colletholders
The REGO-FIX CAPTO/PG colletholders are designed for use on today’s CNC-machining centers for High Performance Cutting (HPC) and High Speed Cutting (HSC). Thanks to their precision and positive locking in the machine spindle, REGO-FIX CAPTO/PG colletholders are suitable for the most demanding applications. The vibration-dampening capabilities of powRgrip colletholders can reduce spindle wear and extend tool life.
For precision-balanced collet holding, the REGO-FIX® Q+® System colletholders are balanced by design, steep taper holders to G 2.5 @ 22,000 rpm and HSK & REGO-FIX CAPTO to G2.5 @ 25,000 rpm. Type H colletholders are ready to accept Hi-Q® balancing rings which allow precision balancing of the system up to 80,000 rpm, depending on the balancing rings used.
